Let’s continue our discovery of Franco-American history in the district at 610 iconic Fifth Avenue where La Maison Française is located, one of the nineteen buildings of the massive Rockefeller Center. Intended by John D. Rockefeller Jr. to attract French businesses to his complex, this Art Deco temple housed the Consulate General of France in New York from 1933 to 1952.
